He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle Hays and Lottie Marie Hays (Mikels); his sons, William Hays, Jr. and Anthony Bryon Hays; and his siblings, Roberta L. Adams and Timothy Wray Hays.
He is survived by: his siblings, Alice Faye Ballard of Columbus, Betty Meadows (Bobby) of Greensburg, Sandra L. Meadows of Greensburg, Gene Hays (Libby) of Columbus, Roger Hays of Columbus and Randy Hays (Linda) of Westport. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
