He was predeceased by: his parents, Henrietta Hoops and Marion Hoops; and his brother Richard Hoops of Muncie, IN.. He is survived by: his wife Hilda Perrin; and his sons, Michael Hoops (Tina) of Fountain Hills, AZ and Jon Hoops of Houston, TX.. He is also survived by step-grandson; two nephews; and one niece.

Memorial contributions can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
