We are sad to announce that on July 11, 2023, at the age of 70, Rita Faye Thompson of Greensburg, Indiana, born in Shelbyville, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredrick Melvin Schofner and Joann Martin (Smith); her husband Nathan Hale Thompson, III; and her sister Deborah K. Meadows. She is survived by: her close friend Darren Mozingo of Greensburg; her children, Dana Carr (Ty) of Greensburg, Nicholas Thompson Messer (Brad) of Rushville and Russell Mozingo (Britany Campbell) of Greensburg; and her half-brother Larry Schofner (Patty) of Greensburg. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
