He is survived by: his wife Clara Jean Hempstead-Wilmer; his stepchildren, Troy Wayne Blythe, Jerry Dale Blythe, David Payne (Nancy), Gary Hempstead (Robin), Treasa Hempstead (Tabitha), Tracy Faris and Katie Hempstead; his siblings, Casper Wilmer, Jr., Sherry Israel and Martha "Cookie" Sneed; and his grandchildren, Jeanie Kola (Dayl), Paulina Faris, Heather Cabatuando (Lee) and Allison Hempstead. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren; and 3 step grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
