He was predeceased by: his parents, John Muckerheide and Frieda Muckerheide (Berkemeier); his wife Rita Sue Asher; and his son Brian Proffitt. He is survived by: his son Ryan Muckerheide (Cyndy) of Columbus; his close friend Joan Moore of Greensburg; his siblings, Marybeth Ruble (Tom) of Greensburg, Sara McKell (Greg) of Greensburg, Ruth Gauck (Donny) of Greensburg, Carl Muckerheide (Nancy) of Batesville and Paul Muckerheide (Sue) of Hamilton; and his grandchildren, JD Proffitt (Haley), Courtney Keith (Jeremy), Chelsey Metz (Shane), Kayli Proffitt, Matthew Gourley and Nathan Gourley (Paige).
