He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Short and Wava Short (Hockinsons); his wife Karen Short; his son Michael James Short; his granddaughter Brooke Wright; and his siblings, Linda K. Short, Nancy Short, Otis Short and Dale Short.
He is survived by: his daughter Linda Michelle Brown (Jason) of Greensburg; his siblings, Frances "Jeannie" Golden, Rachel Short, Mary Senior, Hazel Short-Letts, Willard "Boonie" Short and David Short; and his grandchildren, Breanna Dougherty (Noah) and Brayden Wright.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Marines Toys for Tots through the funeral home.
