He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Raymond Meeks and Hollis Patterson Meeks; and his siblings, Vernon Meeks, Lela Nolde, Ruth Catron, Louise Simpson, Carlis Meeks, Victor Meeks, Lewis Meeks, Fayrene Meeks, Maylene Meeks, Bobby Meeks, Homer Meeks and Billy Meeks.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Hartman Meeks; his children, Debra McKinney (Chris) of Adams, Shannon Smith (Duane) of St. Paul and Tony Meeks of Adams; his grandchildren, Kylie Jackson (Tony), Christian McKinney (Kelsey), Morgan Jones (Braden) and Devon Meeks; and his great grandchildren, Kamdenn McKinney, Cannon, Javi, Mavren Jackson and Lainey McKinney.
A rosary will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home (302 N Franklin St, Greensburg, IN 47240). Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (1331 E Hunter Robbins Way, Greensburg, IN 47240).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
