With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dawn Irene Vance (Greensburg, Indiana), born in Napoleon, Indiana, who passed away on March 21, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Grace Barhorst; her stepfather Norbert Barhorst; her father Raymond Gill Sr.; and her brothers, Tim Gill, Larry Gill and Raymond Gill Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Larry "Pete" Vance; her pets, Sampson and Delilah; her children, Brenda James (David), Tina Barkey (Travis) and Brian Scudder; her grandchildren, Ashley Kraus, Lydia and Mitchell James; her sister Debra Schreider; and her nieces and nephews, Jenn (Susie), John (Lori), Joe (Lindsey) and Gracin Vance.
A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 12:30 PM. A graveside service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery (2801 E Co Rd 820 S, Greensburg, IN 47240).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dawn's honor to the Alzheimer's Association or The American Cancer Society.
