He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Henry and Martha Schoettmer (Miller); and his children, Bernard Michael, Daphne Ann, Linda Sue, Brenda Kay and Kathy Sue Ann.

He is survived by: his wife Diana; his son Bernie Anthony Schoettmer (Sonya); and his grandchildren, Hailey, Kinsley and Anthony.
