He is survived by: his wife Laura Stapleton (Thornton); his children, Stormy Cates, Delta Cooper (Randall Rockey), Doreen Cates (Michael Brickles), Paula Dockery (Bryan Dockery), David Stapleton and Izaiah Raines; his sister Teresa Barnes (Rodger); the mother of his children Alisha Daugherty; and his grandchildren, Jacob, Devon, Jordan, Michael, Cienna, Bella, Carolynn, Kaizer, Zayden, Serenity, Gabriella and Elijah. He is also survived by two nieces; two nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory (1484 US-40, Greenfield, IN 46140). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
