He was predeceased by: his parents, William G. Deaton and Ida Deaton (Rose); and his sister Helen Hurt. He is survived by: his mother-in-law Betty (Tucker); his wife Betty Deaton of Greenfield; his children, Scott Deaton (Vonda) of New Palestine and Kimberly Marshall (Brady) of Indianapolis; and his grandchildren, Morgan Deaton of New Palestine and Madison Marshall of Indianapolis. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
