He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Atkins and Ida Atkins (Davis); his wife Edith Atkins (Riddle); his children, R. Wayne Atkins, Carolyn May Wright and Margie Lou Atkins; his granddaughter Amberly Dawn Owen (Watson); and his son-in-law Steve Wright.
He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara Watson (Jim), Edithann Hudson (Matt) and Rhonda Griffith (Dee); and his daughter-in-law Virginia Atkins. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and many beloved great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
