He was predeceased by: his parents, Verl Rice and Bernice Rice; his wife Donna L. Thoms; his daughter Ann Rice; and his brothers, Gayle and Gerald Rice.
He is survived by: his children, Steven C. Rice (Linda) of Fortville and Patricia L. Rice of Greenfield; his granddaughter Afton E. Cheek (Jason) of Dallas, Texas; his stepgrandchildren, Jacqueline Webster of Chicago, Daniel Webster (Madison) of Indianapolis and Joshua Myles (Becky) of Knightstown; his great grandchildren, Jackson and Austin Cheek; and his stepgreat-grandson Dalton Myles.
