He is survived by: his wife Maxine McDonald (Means) of Greenfield; his children, Bryan McDonald (Kathy) of Connersville and Twyilla McDonald (Jerry Petty) of Shelbyville; and his grandchildren, Amanda Capps (Ed) of Rushville, Melissa Berkemeier (Ryan) of Rushville, Craig Robinson of Carthage, Tiffany Robinson of Carthage and Heather Heideman (Johan) of Rushville. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; and 8 great great-grandchildren.
