He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin McKee and Cora McKee (Allen); his daughter Amy McKee Everett; and his siblings, J. W. McKee, O. D. McKee, Oleda Mix and Betty Jean.

He is survived by: his wife Ginger McKee (Colclazier); his children, Matthew McKee (Kim) and Angie Graddy (David); his grandchildren, Bailey Everett, Garrett McKee, Lance McKee, Luke McKee, Madison Graddy, Austin Graddy, Logan Graddy and Maggie Graddy; and his siblings, Laveme McKee (Katherine), Reba Fraley (Max), Anita Glentzer and Wayne McKee (Wendy).
