He was predeceased by: his parents, William Atwell and Mary Atwell; and his wife Marsha Atwell. He is survived by: his children, Thomas Atwell, Debbie Goodman (Steven) and Lisa Bedell (Gary).

“Bud was always so very kind to me. He paid me to clean his home for awhile. I would have done it for free. Part of the job included taking Sheldon on a walk and taking time out to sit and talk. I loved those talks more than he could ever know. I even got a kick out of his stubbornness. My husband and I were just talking about inviting him to dinner or bringing take out. I am heartbroken that we are too late. My prayers are with your family!!”
