She was predeceased by: her parents, David Carter and Winnie Carter; and her siblings, Kathy Cummings, Vicky Corvin and Ricky Carter.

She is survived by: her daughters, Penny Jane Phillips and Kimberly Sue Knuckles (Andrew); her brothers, Jerry Carter, Thomas Carter (Abigail) and Bob Carter; her cousins, Charlene, Ginger and Charlotte; her grandchildren, Amanda Florian, Paul Phillips, Jacob Jones, Andrew Knuckles Jr. and Hunter Phillips; and her close friend Bridget Foy. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
