He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence E. Monies and Lois A. Monies (Gill); and his wife Bettie. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Peggy, Junior and Betty; and his siblings, Jon R. Monies, James E. Monies and Janis M. Turner (Monies).
