He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Grande and Margaret Grande (McNamara); his aunt Clara Maloney (Grande); his wife Mary Anne Grande (Noone); his brothers, John L. Grande and Robert J. Grande; and his son-in-law Donald W. Kottlowski.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Joseph Grande (Arlene) of Carmel, David Vincent Grande (Joni) of Indianapolis, Rosemarie Kottlowski (late Donald W.) of New Palestine, Bernadette Von Essen (Larry) of Greenfield and Maureen Grande of Indianapolis; and his grandchildren, Jackie, Mike, Brian, Laura, Ben, David, Kevin, Matt, Jill, Tommy, Vanessa, Tony and Joseph. He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren.
