Porter of Greenfield, Indiana, born in Portland, Tennessee, who passed away on June 13, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Pascal B. Porter and Ethel C. Porter (Mathias). He is survived by: his wife Loyce D. Porter (Wade); his daughters, Lynetta D. Likens (John) and Alisa G. Gammons (Kevin); his grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy, James, Devin and Lilly; and his great grandchildren, Jaece and Jameson.

Memorial contributions may be made in James' memory to Aldersgate Free Methodist Church.
