He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleatus Newton and Thelma Fanney Barnhart (Tinney); his granddaughter Jessica Nicole Barnhart; his brothers, Robert Barnhart and Billy Barnhart; and his sisters-in-law, Juanita Barnhart and Elizabeth Barnhart.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ruth Holliday; his children, Connie McCord (David), Gary Barnhart (Kathy), Debbie Hudson (Mark), Jeff Barnhart (Cathy) and Rob Barnhart (Linda); his brothers, Richard Barnhart and Donald Barnhart (Carolyn); and his sister-in-law Jean Barnhart. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
