She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Newman and Wilma Newman (Stinson); her husband Dwight Sherriff; her daughter Jennifer Martin; and her siblings, Frank Newman and Ruth Ann James.
She is survived by: her son Justin Walton; her godsons, Michael Jenkins (Michelle) and William Jenkins (Nicole); her brothers, David Newman (Sandy) and Charles Newman; and her friend Carol Johnson. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
