He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Roland and Goldie Roland (Zaph); his former wife Phillis Roland (Hull); and his siblings, Earl Roland, Robert Roland, Russell Roland Jr., Harry Roland, Dorothy Roland and Marjorie Fox Hale (Roland).

He is survived by: his wife Mary Wyatt-Roland (Fields); his children, Danette Shultz (Gary), Douglas Roland (Nancy) and Debra Roland; his stepchildren, Bruce Wyatt (Kelli) and Beth Ann Carver; his grandchildren, Luke Keaton (Abby), Kyle Roland (Lauren), Lindsey Bell (Jon), Robbie Roland (Casie) and Kelli Jo Roland; his great grandchildren, Kinsley Bell, Karsyn Bell, June Keaton, Jimmy Roland and Addi Clark; and his brother Charles Roland. He is also survived by four step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
