She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Cox and Pearl Cox (Lashbrook); her husband Gerald Leroy Shew; and her brothers, Russell Eugene Cox (Tuny) of Mattoon, Illinois., Harold Cox of Mattoon, Illinois. and Jerry Dale Cox of Mattoon, Illinois..
She is survived by: her daughter Carol Lee Seng (Thomas) of Greenfield, Indiana; her grandchildren, Chad Thomas Seng (Kathy) of Galesburg, Illinois and Rachel Suzanne Bickel (Thomas) of Lacon, Illinois; her great grandchildren, Austin Bickel, Nate Bickel, Olivia Seng and Alexandra Seng; her stepgrandchildren, Paige Davis and Brady Davis; her brother Max Cox (Sonja) of Mattoon; her son-in-law Tom; and her pet Sophie. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
