He was predeceased by: his parents, Earle Fontaine and Edith Fontaine (Peter); his wife Marlene Fontaine; his brother Robert Fontaine; and his brother-in-law David Nay.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Fontaine (Lori), Mark Fontaine (Becky) and Tim Fontaine (Karen); his grandchildren, Zack Fontaine (Leslie), Catie Brownfield (Mark), Justin Pettet (Amanda), Chelsey Kramer (Austin), Emily Kidder (Dillon), Evan Fontaine, Justin Bradley (Keri), Jason Bradley, Jacob Fontaine (Risa) and Kaylynn Fontaine; and his brother-in-law John Nay (Anita). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
