He was predeceased by: his parents, Elma Lusk (Guy) and James Lusk; and his sister Nancy Bowling. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Lusk (Layton); his children, Danny Lusk, Donny Lusk (Angie), Joyce Lusk-Shelton, Janet Feeney (Vincent) and David Lusk III (Nicole); his grandchildren, Austin, Evan, Lily Lusk, Levi Shelton, Tony Shane (Taylor), Mindy Lusk, Eric, Connor Lusk, Annabell, Bridgett, Scarlett, Maddi Feeney and Angelina Ostermyer; his great grandchildren, Jack, Charlie, Lillian, Gannon and Olivia; his brother James Lusk; and his pet Lucy.
