He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Tackett and Betty Tackett (Sawyers); and his brothers, Tommy Tackett, Timmy Tackett and Edward Sisk.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Droppleman; his children, Miranda Alfred (Jeremy), Curtis Tackett, Allison Tackett, Megan Cunningham (Joe), Jennifer Droppleman and Brad Burgin (Lindsey); and his siblings, Tuie Viars (Jeff), Robby Dale Tackett, Loy "Sissy" Sisk, Tammy England (Bob), Marvin Deckard and Nettie Hinton. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
