With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carl Ray Slifer of Greenfield, Indiana, who passed away on April 14, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Milford and Gayle Ilene Slifer (Fisher); his brother Dale Slifer; and his sister-in-law Sue Slifer. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Slifer (Ethridge) of Greenfield; his daughters, Karla Smoak (Ken) of Shirley, Christina Haggard (Kevin) of Shelbyville and Debra Jackson (Phil) of Thorntown; his grandchildren, Ashley Hubbard (Brandon), Brittany Redstone (Craig), Holly Nichols (Brandon), Heath Haggard, Drew Jackson, Joshua Jackson, Kenneth Smoak (Cassandra), Esther Jackson, Tabitha Good (Grayson) and Caleb Jackson; his great grandchildren, Hayden, Alyssa, Payton, Jeffrey, Braydon and Natalie; and his siblings, Lenard Slifer of Greenfield and Sandra Day of Greenfield.
