He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Medlin and Arthur Medlin; his grandparents, Grover, Elisie Crist and Ruby Medlin; his sisters, Sharon Kissick and Karen Thompson; his niece Danyel Dilley; his nephew Tim Medlin; and his great-nephew Blake Dilley.
He is survived by: his siblings, Caroline Hewson (Mick), Sandra Baker and James Medlin (Cindy). He is also survived by 29 nephews, 13 nieces; several cousins.
