He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ballard Hammons and Delsie Hammons (Stallard); his wife Yvonne Rae Gibson; his children, Katherine D. Bechtel, Regina Y. Brock, Randall E. Hammons and Sheila D. Hammons; and his siblings, Bobby, Norman Hammons, Blanche Patton and Carl Hammons. He was also cherished by 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Suburban Hospice, Inc located in Greenfield, IN.
