It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Robert Imel Jr. of Greencastle, Indiana, who passed away on December 26, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy William Robert leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though William Robert may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Robert Imel Sr. and Annabelle Imel; his wife Shirley Imel; his children, Melanie Wilkinson, Randy Hack and Pamela Bryant; and his siblings, Robert Imel and Sandra Brown.
He is survived by: his daughters, Victoria Dicks (Alan) and Julie Goss (Gary); his son-in-law Rick Bryant; and his brother Dennis Imel. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home (106 Shaw St, Plainfield, IN 46168). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
