She was predeceased by: her grandparents, George and Freida Dearing; and her siblings, Maria Roe, Larry and David Marion.

She is survived by: her husband Terry A. Powell; her parents, Shirley Pinkiston and Ronald Pinkiston of Indianapolis; her brother Michael Marion; her uncle Walter "Bud" Dearing; and her sister-in-law Jude Powell. She is also survived by niece and several nephews.
