He was predeceased by: his parents, James Noah and Valeena Barnett (Mitchell); his wife Marcie Barnett; his grandson Anthony Wayne Barnett; and his brothers, Oris and Franklin "Peanut" Barnett.

He is survived by: his children, Annetta Morgan, Donald Barnett (Virginia Lynn) and Randolph Barnett Greencastle (Michelle); his sister Artava Capps; and his sister-in-law Ruby Barnett. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
