He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Shoemaker; his pet Sugar; his children, Rick Thacker (Stephanie) of Mishwaka, Mitchell Thacker Jr. (Donna) of Plainfield, Tom Thacker of Cloverdale, Ron Thacker (Wendy) of Brazil, Tonda Hinton (James) of Brazil, Theresa Frank of New Palestine and Robert Thacker (Brenda) of Brazil; his sisters, Aloma Gray of Floral City, FL and Jackie (Kenny) of Martinsville; and the mother of his children Anita Thacker of Greencastle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
