She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Pettit and Lucy Pettit (Green); her husband William O. Grimes; her son Bruce Grimes; and her brother Gordon Petit.

She is survived by: her daughter Lissa Cady (William); her brother Michael Dunkin (Sylvia); her daughter-in-law Jana Grimes; and her grandchildren, Emily Glen, Eric Starr, Jerry Grimes and Stephen Cady. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
