She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Edgar and Ruth Edna Pettit (Harris); her husband Merl Grimes; and her sisters, Betty Jean Rainbold, Carol Sutherlin and Barbara Alexander.
She is survived by: her children, Constance Brown, Rebecca Bond (Rodney), Debra Wood, David Grimes and Martha Knoebel (James); and her sister Judy Campbell (James). She is also survived by eight grandsons; a granddaughter; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
