“Sorry for the loss to her family and friends. As a teacher she knew how to challenge, encourage and instill confidence in her students. Through Mrs. Swalley and other science teacher s like Jim Stevens in eighth grade science and Gene “Augie” Akers in chemistry I was inspired to study science and eventually earned a pharmacy degree. Like Bob Robert Gammon, I too am sorry I never properly thanked her.”
