It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Leon Thompson of Greencastle, Indiana, born in Terre Haute, Indiana, who passed away on April 3, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Esten Cleveland and Nettie Pauline Thompson (Lacy); his wife Kay A. Thompson (Sutherlin); his son Michael R. Thompson; his sister Carolyn Chadwick (Allen); and his great grandchild Aiden Payne.

He is survived by: his daughter Sherry Rogers (Ralph); his grandchildren, Angie Brewer (Jason), Brandy Biddle (Brady), Autumn Payne (Austin) and Michael R. Thompson Jr.; his great grandchildren, Jasmine, Crosby, Elliott, Elijah, Levi, Macy, Eli and Ellie; and his great great grandchildren, Everett and Dylan.
