She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Thompson and Hazel Thompson (Pelfrey); her husband James Hammond; and her siblings, Donald Thompson and Norma Jean Champ.

She is survived by: her children, Wesley A. Hammond (Janice), Gregory D. Hammond (Shannon) and Diana H. Duwelius (Andy); her siblings, Shirley Baker, Judy (Rick) and Richard Thompson (Clara Maude); and her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hicks (Matt), Adam Hammond (Whitney), Seth Hammond (Brenly), James Micah Hammond, Joshua Hammond, Joel Hammond, Thomas Duwelius and Ross Duwelius (Ellie). She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
