She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Cook and Martha Lucille Cook (Abbott); her husband Elmer Ellis Smiley; her siblings, Ernie Cook, Edwin Cook, Gene Cook and Doris Smiley; her daughter-in-law Caroline Nanette Arbuckle; and her grandchildren, Celeta Harbin and John Tharp.

She is survived by: her children, Steve Smiley (Patty), Linda Snider (Rex), Ray Smiley (Kathy), Danny Smiley (Susie), Sharon Hoskins (Curt), Janice Hamilton (Ken), Tim Smiley (Bert) and Lora Tharp (Scott); and her sisters, Edith Tarter and Mary Smith (Don). She is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren: and 12 great great grandchildren.
