He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Butler and Eva Merel Butler. He is survived by: his wife Waneta A. Bassett (Bright); his son Donald A. Bassett (Robin) of Cloverdale; his grandchildren, Devin Bassett and Danielle Hubbard; his great grandchild Annabelle Bassett; and his siblings, John Butler and Pat Bright. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
