He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Stephen Thompson and Nellie Mae Thompson (Cline); and his daughter Brenda Thompson. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Ann Coffey; and his children, Debbie Cooksey (Mark), Danny Thompson (Debra), Stephen Thompson, Bobby Thompson (Tara), Clayton and Matthew Thompson (Nicki). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren.
