He was predeceased by: his parents, Bunk Taylor and Dortha Elizabeth Taylor (Shirley); his son Alex Cantrell Taylor Jr.; and his brothers, Richard Ray, Ruben Allen and Harliss Clinton Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane "Janie" Taylor; his daughter Lottie Hancock; his stepdaughters, Becky Hutcheson and Debbie Beaver; and his siblings, Robert Lee Taylor and Marilyn Postier. He is also survived by several grandchildren & great grandchildren.
