We bid farewell to Melanie Dee Nelson (Granger, Indiana), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 7, 2025 at the age of 63. Melanie Dee touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lynn Dee and Matt Dee; and her granddaughter Katie Nelson. She is survived by: her husband Len; her children, Jennifer McClain (Mitch), Cassandra Navarro (Tony) and Matthew Nelson (Loren); her grandchildren, Emma, Caroline, Leonard Turnblom, Myles McClain, Logan, Eliana, Griffin Navarro, Annie and Audrie Nelson; her stepmother Marilyn Dee; and her brother Jeff Dee. She is also survived by many loving extended family members and friends.
Viewing was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Granger Chapel (13260 IN-23, Granger, IN 46530). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (30888 Co Rd 6, Elkhart, IN 46514).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Elkhart, to continue the work of spreading Christ's love that Melanie so valued.
