Though Mary Schumaker may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mary Schumaker touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Eugene Schumaker and Ruth Schumaker (Sandwell). She is survived by: her son John P. Hintz; her daughter-in-law Kristen B. Hintz of East Lansing; her grandsons, Patrick B. Hintz of Boston and Robert A. Hintz of East Lansing, Michigan.; and her husband John L. Hintz.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (52473 S R 933, South Bend, IN 46637). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
