He was predeceased by: his significant other Earlean Billups (Hale); his brother Frank Billups Jr.; and his son Johnny L. Billups Jr.. He is survived by: his son Bernard Billups of Berrien Springs; his granddaughters, Carnetta Billups-Winston of Benton Harbor and Shawanda Billups-Kwofie of Lawrenceville; his great grandchildren, Kamarrie Orr, Cameron Quee, London Wedderburn and Javar Wedderburn; and his goddaughter Lorene Phillips (Dwight) of Kalamazoo. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
