We are sad to announce that on September 14, 2024, at the age of 86, Carol Virginia Bauer of Granger, Indiana, born in Mishawaka, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Plenny C. Diltz and Frances Diltz (Schmidt); her husband Jerome Bauer; her brothers, Richard (Helen), Raymond (Monabelle) and James Diltz (Emily); her in-laws, August, Anne Bauer, Jim, Joann Bauer, Tom Bauer, Ed Bauer, Eugene and Mary Anne Edmonds; and her son-in-law Todd Basicker.
She is survived by: her daughter Carol; her caregivers, Kiki, Kylee, Lexie, Faye, Mary D and Mary F; her close friend Bev; her children, Karen Barnett (Darrell) of South Bend, Kris Basicker of South Bend, Kathy Greve (Dan) of South Bend, Kevin Bauer (Jenna) of South Bend and Kim Leffler (Randy) of Fishers, IN.; her grandchildren, Matt Barnett (Katie), Christian Leffler (Megan), Danny Barnett (Katie), Kendal Speer (Matt), Meredith, Aaron Greve, Lauren, Lindsey Basicker, Bella, Lily, Brooks, Jude, Noah, Gianna and Mary Elizabeth Bauer; her great grandchildren, Natalie, Harper, Lainey, Sam, Ellie Barnett and Scottie Speer; and her sisters-in-law, Peggy and Mako Bauer. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carol's name to Christ Child Society of South Bend, Christ the King Catholic Parish, or Caring Cove Hospice.
