He was predeceased by: his father James Cottrell; and his son Kenny Wayne Cottrell. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Cottrell; his children, Mary Tooley, Bonnie Cottrell, Lee Cottrell, Noble Cottrell, Carl Jones and Curtis Jones; and his siblings, George Cottrell, Don Riley and Judy Embry. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
