He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Hess and Madonna Hess (Ripberger); and his sister Rita. He is survived by: his wife Pattie Hess; his children, Thomas Hess Jr., Matthew Hess and Lisa Arnold; his stepchildren, Reena McKee (Jason) and Rich Gardner (Lisa); and his siblings, David Hess (Karin), Michael Hess (Mary) and Rose Helmkamp (Ralph). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Divine Mercy Funeral Home - Fort Wayne (3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805). Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the St. Jude Catholic Church (2155 Randallia Dr, Fort Wayne, IN 46805).
Memorials may be given in Tom's honor to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
