He was predeceased by: his parents, George Schisler and Marjorie Schisler; and his son-in-law Randy Styhl. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Stahly; his children, Dennis Schisler (Lori), Dawn Slaten (Dan), Dana Clauss (Tom Habig) and Diane Styhl; his sisters, Carolyn Sue Haines, Patricia Heign and Sally Thomas; and his sister-in-law Jan Stahly. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
